PLAYGROUNDS & PARKS
Our area offers several parks with fun playgrounds to keep the little family members happy. Many of our parks include lovely shady spots, just right for a family picnic, as well as toilet facilities and BBQs. Whether you are just passing through or you're spending a week in our towns and villages you are bound to find a park or playground to keep the kids entertained.
REST AREAS & LOOKOUTS
If you are exploring the area, or just passing through, there are some great rest areas along the main roads.
RECREATION FACILITIES
Local swimming pools are open during the swim season, with low entry fees. Local bowls and golf clubs welcome visitors and hold regular events and tournaments. There is something for all ages, so why not take advantage of the excellent facilities and get active while visiting one of our country towns. There are a number of local sporting teams and the area comes alive through winter with local football and netball held each weekend around the district. Visitors are most welcome and recreation areas including football fields, tennis courts and netball courts are open for public access outside of game days.
